Prescriptions at The Children’s Clinic
At The Children’s Clinic, prescribing is designed to be simple, safe, and convenient, with clear options depending on how and when you are seen.
Prescriptions included with consultations
If your child is seen by us in person or via a virtual consultation, any clinically appropriate prescription is included as part of your appointment fee.
Dispensing fees are not included and are paid separately to the pharmacy or Pharmacierge for electronic prescriptions.
Repeat prescriptions (outside of an appointment)
If your child requires a repeat prescription outside of a consultation, a prescription fee of £50 applies.
This covers the clinician’s time to safely review, authorise, and issue the prescription.
Dispensing fees are charged and to be paid separately to the pharmacy or Pharmacierge.
For that added peace of mind, patients on our ‘Complete’ membership plan benefit from free repeat or additional prescriptions outside of scheduled consultations.
How your prescription is provided
We offer flexible prescribing options to suit your needs:
Printed private prescription
Available to collect on the day if your child is seen in clinic or posted to you if appropriate (virtual or repeat).
Electronic prescription via Pharmacierge
A secure, convenient service that delivers medication directly to your door.
Please note: Private prescriptions cannot be sent electronically to your chosen local pharmacy in the same way as NHS prescriptions due to authentication requirements.
Using Pharmacierge
Pharmacierge is a trusted private pharmacy service that:
- Receives private e-Prescriptions from clinicians, then hand delivers medication to their patients directly and reliably
- Dispenses hard-to-source or specialist medications
- Offers same-day London delivery and next-day UK delivery in most areas
- Bills patients directly for medication and delivery
The Children’s Clinic is independent from Pharmacierge and does not receive any commission for dispensed prescriptions. We offer it to our patients for the convenience and speed in which prescriptions can be sourced. To find out more about Pharmacierge, please click here.
