Felicity Taylor is a Consultant Paediatrician with over 17 years’ experience in frontline NHS care. Felicity set up The Children’s Clinic in 2024 to bring world-class paediatric healthcare to her local community in the Harpenden and St Albans area.
“I aim to provide the knowledge and reassurance that I would want for my own children, in an accessible and personal form.”
Felicity’s NHS Consultant practice is at the world-renowned Evelina Children’s Hospital in London, where she works in the specialist children’s emergency department and children’s short stay unit, diagnosing, treating and managing patients. She specialises in diagnosing and treating urgent and emergency conditions in patients from birth up to 18 years old.
From colic in babies to palpitations in teenagers, if your child is unwell Felicity works responsively to get them back to full health as quickly as possible.
“As a mother of three young children myself I understand how worrisome and disruptive to family life an unwell baby, child or young person can be. I’m delighted to be running my private practice from Harpenden Medical and One Hatfield to bring first class paediatric healthcare to my local community and I’m particularly excited by the focus on wellness and preventative healthcare. I look forward to working in close partnership with families to provide them with the expert knowledge and reassurance I would want for my own children.”
Felicity is Patient Safety lead for the children’s emergency department and has a particular interest in improving patient care through improving communication between patients, families and staff. She is a trained ‘speak up’ advocate, natural listener, and skilled communicator and is passionate in improving the experience of healthcare for children and their families.
Felicity has experience working in National Healthcare Commissioning at NHS England, and in developing national standards for emergency care for children and young people at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
Felicity has extensive contacts within the paediatric healthcare sphere and will help you find the right specialist quickly if onward referral is required. If preferred, Felicity can also provide you with a comprehensive plan to take back to discuss with your NHS family practitioner.
